Clinical consultation
You complete an in-person or properly regulated online consultation with a GMC-registered prescriber, sharing your full medical history for assessment.
PRIVATE WEIGHT MANAGEMENT DISPENSING
IRIS HEALTH is a specialist private pharmacy focused on moving prescribed GLP-1 weight management medication from your prescriber to your door, correctly refrigerated, on schedule and backed by a pharmacist you can speak to.
We dispense privately prescribed treatments, including Wegovy (semaglutide) and Mounjaro (tirzepatide), for patients holding a valid private prescription from a registered prescriber.
SPECIALIST PHARMACY
A private weight loss pharmacy is a GPhC-registered pharmacy that concentrates on dispensing and delivering prescription weight management medicines to patients with a valid private prescription. What separates a genuine specialist is depth in a few specific areas.
HOW IT WORKS
You complete an in-person or properly regulated online consultation with a GMC-registered prescriber, sharing your full medical history for assessment.
If treatment is appropriate, the prescriber issues a private prescription authorising a registered pharmacy to dispense.
Our GPhC-registered pharmacist confirms the prescriber, patient details, medication, dose and clinical appropriateness before dispensing.
Medication is sealed in validated cold-chain packaging and sent by tracked courier, with SMS and email updates from dispatch to doorstep.
MEDICATION
Treatments are available on private prescription following a clinical assessment and are delivered nationwide in validated cold-chain packaging. Your prescriber manages treatment suitability and dose escalation.
semaglutide
A GLP-1 receptor agonist, self-administered once weekly by subcutaneous injection.
tirzepatide
A dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist, self-administered once weekly by subcutaneous injection.
FOR CLINICS & PRESCRIBERS
A late delivery or temperature-compromised pen reflects on the clinic as much as the pharmacy. Iris Health acts as an extension of your patient-support capability, with electronic prescription receipt, fast fulfilment, cold-chain delivery and a real point of contact.
Prescriptions transmitted straight from your system, with no postal lag or patient paperwork mid-treatment.
Prescriptions received in working hours are typically processed the same or next day, with urgent handling when needed.
Every GLP-1 order ships in validated packaging.
Queries are handled by pharmacists who understand weight management medicines.
SMS and email tracking help reduce inbound delivery queries to your clinic.
We work with your prescribers to help keep supply continuous.
CLINIC PARTNERSHIPS
ONLINE PRESCRIPTIONS
GLP-1 weight management medicines can be prescribed through regulated online services in the UK, provided the prescriber is GMC-registered and the platform is CQC-regulated. A prescription issued this way holds the same legal validity as one issued face to face, and Iris Health can receive and fulfil prescriptions from registered, regulated services.
A PROPERLY REGULATED SERVICE SHOULD HAVE
Our pharmacy role starts the moment a valid prescription is received.
FULFILMENT & DELIVERY
Every prescription is clinically reviewed and pharmacist-approved before dispensing. GLP-1 medicines are delivered by tracked courier to most UK addresses, maintaining 2°C–8°C throughout. See delivery information for current timeframes
ONGOING SUPPORT
GLP-1 treatment is intended for the long term, and a cycle that depends on consistent weekly dosing is easily disrupted by running out. Our service helps keep supply reliable through reminders, prescription coordination and a pharmacist on hand for storage and delivery questions.
WHERE CLINICAL QUESTIONS GO
Iris Health handles the pharmacy; your prescribing clinic handles the clinical side. Dose changes, side-effect management and treatment reviews sit with them.
If you are not sure who to ask, contact us and we will point you the right way.
YOUR OPTIONS
NHS treatment is funded for eligible patients but comes with regional eligibility criteria and variable waiting times. Private treatment is self-funded but usually means faster access. Both need a valid prescription and are overseen by the relevant UK regulators.

| Home delivery | Available via specialist pharmacy | Cold-chain home delivery available |
| Ongoing monitoring | NHS clinical monitoring provided | Clinic reviews, patient-funded |
